Jackie Chan discussed his childhood and his decision to pursue martial arts during a seminar at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland.

He stated, "I was lazy, naughty, I didn't want to study – that's why my father sent me to a martial arts school." Jokingly, he added that he liked being able to kick the teacher.

Jackie Chan began his career as a stuntman and actor, participating in films such as "Bloody Fingers of Karate" and "Hong Kong Yellow Peril."

He also spoke about his desire to be involved in all aspects of filmmaking and the challenges facing the film industry today.
