Giorgio Armani: Private Funeral and Mourning for the 'King' of Fashion

Italy bid farewell to the iconic designer Giorgio Armani, who passed away at the age of 91. A private funeral was held on Monday, attended by relatives, collaborators, and friends.
The ceremony took place at the church of San Martino in Rivalta, near Piacenza, where Armani was born. According to reports, his ashes will be placed in a family chapel in Rivalta.
Armani stores remained closed on Monday afternoon as a sign of respect. Milan and Piacenza declared a day of mourning.
Pantaleo Dell'Orco, Armani's partner, stated that they will honor him through his fashion. Armani leaves behind a business empire spanning from haute couture to home furnishings.
Until his death, Armani was working on a retrospective exhibition and a fashion show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the fashion house, as part of Milan Fashion Week.
