Cyprus' Deputy Ministry of Culture Responds to Artists Regarding Presidency Opening Ceremony

The Deputy Ministry of Culture responded to an open letter from the New Movement of Dance Groups, Dancers and Choreographers of Cyprus regarding the open call for participation in the opening ceremony of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The New Movement requested information on the selection criteria for the choreographer. The Deputy Ministry clarified that it conducted a competition for the purchase of Artistic Director services, who appointed his project team, including the choreographer.

The Deputy Ministry considers the deadline for submitting CVs sufficient and states that instructions will be given on the spot. Furthermore, it responds that the age range resulted from the dramaturgical needs of the project.

Finally, the Deputy Ministry notes its continuous cooperation with the New Movement to support the dance community in Cyprus.
