AAΔΕ is preparing for the new tax returns, with public and private sector entities required to submit the necessary information by the end of February. Several categories of benefits, compensation, and income are not considered income and are not subject to tax.

The list includes:

  • Reimbursement of accommodation and meal expenses for business purposes.
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses for business purposes.
  • Foreign allowance for employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Deductions for insurance funds.
  • Insurance contributions for pension benefits.
  • Lump sum payment from welfare funds.
  • Meal vouchers up to 6 euros per working day.
  • Insignificant benefits up to 27 euros per year.
  • Premiums for group pension contracts.
  • Contributions for medical coverage up to 1,500 euros per year.
  • Reimbursement for unlimited public transport cards.
  • Granting of zero or low emission vehicle (up to 50 g CO2/km) with RTPF up to 40,000 euros.
  • Stock provision after 24 or 36 months from acquisition.
  • Audit compensation.
  • Electric car charging costs at the employer's premises.
  • Free share distribution upon achievement of goals.
  • Domestic tourism vouchers up to 300 euros per year (for the years 2020 and 2021).
  • Extrainstitutional allowance for people with disabilities.
  • Benefits for nurseries up to 5,000 euros per year.
  • Support for the acquisition of a child up to 5,000 euros (increasing for each additional child).
  • Coverage of hospitalization expenses.
