Greek Tax Authority Warns 18,000 Businesses About Illegal Invoices

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (ΑΑΔΕ) is warning 18,000 businesses that they risk issuing illegal invoices from February 12, potentially facing a fine of 50% of the VAT they collect.
The deadline for businesses with a turnover of over €1 million to adapt their systems to e-invoicing expires on February 12. Only 19,961 out of 38,000 businesses have complied.
Those who do not comply will have their invoices deemed illegal, leading to fines. The ΑΑΔΕ has sent reminder emails.
