Farmers Outraged by Swimming Pools: Why?

Water policy is the responsibility of the central government, not the District Self-Government Organizations. The government is called upon to explain why there is a restriction on water for irrigation, while no measures are taken for swimming pools.

The Nicosia DSA stated that a house with a planning permit can fill its pool from the water supply system. This causes outrage among farmers who see their crops being destroyed.
