Retroactive Payments: Up to €4,000 for 370,000 Pensioners

Approximately 370,000 pensioners are expected to receive retroactive payments of up to €4,000 from EFKA, following court decisions. The payments concern the 11-month period from June 2015 to May 2016.

The amounts are for pensioners who appealed to the Justice system and were vindicated in the Courts of First Instance. According to the newspaper "Ta Nea", a 6% interest rate is added to the retroactive payments.

The payment process includes the clean writing of the decision, the service to EFKA, the issuance of a payment warrant, and the deposit of funds into the beneficiaries' accounts within three months.

In addition, thousands of pensioners with successive or parallel insurance, as well as those who worked in arduous professions, can claim retroactive payments exceeding €8,500, due to the non-recalculation of pensions based on Vroutsis Law (Law 4670/2020).
