Development Law 2022: New controls also for subsidy auditors

The Ministry of Development is extending controls on development law subsidies to private auditors who certify the completion of investment plans. The decision also concerns the latest law of 2022.

Specifically, Sample Inspection Committees are being established to re-examine 30% of investment plans that have been certified as completed. The committees will conduct administrative and on-site inspections to verify the completion of the project, its operation, and the correspondence of expenses.

In case of violations, the sanctions will be extended to the auditors. Cases with omissions will be forwarded to the Accounting Standardization and Audits Committee (ELTE).
