Cyprus Wine Exports Rise by 3% in 2024

Cyprus wine exports increased by 3% in 2024, reaching approximately €1.3 million, according to the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Giorgos Papanastasiou. The announcement was made at the opening of the 64th Wine Festival in Limassol.
Cypriot wine is strengthening its presence in markets such as the USA, China, Israel, the United Kingdom and Australia. Winemaking in Cyprus has a long history, linked to culture and tradition.
Minister Papanastasiou emphasized the uniqueness of Cypriot varieties such as Xynisteri, Maratheftiko and Commandaria. He also expressed the Ministry's support for winemakers, especially after the recent fires.
