Cyprus Stock Exchange Closes Up, Suspends Shares

The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CySEC) closed higher on a daily and weekly basis on Friday. The General Index rose by 0.68% to close at 250.76 units, while the FTSE/CySE 20 Index increased by 0.70% to 151.84 units. On a weekly basis, CySEC recorded an increase of 3.82%. The value of transactions amounted to €267,602.
All individual stock market indices recorded gains, with the Alternative Market increasing by 1.49%, Investment Companies by 1.22%, Hotels by 3.31%, and the Main Market by 0.45%.
Dimitra Investment had the highest trading volume with €105,573, followed by Bank of Cyprus with €95,933 and Cyprus Cement Company with €40,412.
Meanwhile, CySEC announced the continuation of the suspension of trading in the shares of Mr. Pengu Public Company Ltd until September 1, 2025, due to the non-publication of financial reports. It also ratified the decision to continue the suspension of trading in the shares of ZREES FRACTION PLC until August 25, 2025, due to non-compliance with obligations.
Finally, CySEC announced the operating hours of the reception area for the months of July and August 2025.
