The economy in the occupied territories continues to face inflation, with the annual inflation rate for July soaring, mainly affecting basic services such as health, education, and housing.

According to data published by the 'statistical service,' inflation in the services sector exceeded 46%, while the general consumer price index reached 35.33% on an annual basis.

According to 'Kıbrıs Postası' online, the largest annual price increase was recorded in the education sector (66.90%), followed by health (60%). Significant increases were also recorded in rents (41%) and hotel prices (43%).

The monthly inflation rate for July was 3.17%, with large increases in dental treatments (up to 35%) and foods such as fresh beans (96%).

A slight decrease was observed in the prices of some fruits, such as melon and watermelon, but this does not offset the overall increase in the cost of living.
