Energy Minister Reveals Investigation into Vasilikos Terminal

Energy Minister Giorgos Papanastasiou announced an investigation into potential liabilities regarding the Vasilikos terminal, following a report by a special advisor from an international company. The report, expected in mid-September, indicates technical issues that cast doubt on the project.
Mr. Papanastasiou emphasized that design, safety, and material suitability issues will be examined. If liabilities arise, they will be assigned throughout the project chain.
Regarding the floating regasification unit, the Minister stated that the ship Prometheus is in Malaysia, and a terminal is being sought for testing.
The President of the Republic is aware of the investigation's findings.
