Cyprus wine exports reached €1.3 million in 2024, marking a 3% increase compared to the previous year, according to the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Giorgos Papanastasiou, at the 64th Wine Festival in Limassol.

Cypriot wine is strengthening its presence in markets such as the USA, China, Israel, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The Minister emphasized the importance of Cyprus' long winemaking tradition and the contribution of native varieties such as Xynisteri, Maratheftiko, and Commandaria.

Mr. Papanastasiou assured the Ministry's support to winemakers, especially after the recent fires, through a comprehensive strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Cypriot wine.
