Average Monthly Earnings in Cyprus Increased by 5.1% in 2024

The average gross monthly earnings of employees in Cyprus increased by 5.1% in 2024, reaching €2,483, according to the Statistical Service. In 2023, earnings were €2,363, with a corresponding increase of 7.3%.

The median gross monthly earnings for 2024 amounted to €1,881. The highest percentage of employees (14.2%) earns between €1,000 and €1,249.

Earnings by sector range from €941 in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing to €4,710 in Financial and Insurance Activities.

A decrease of 2% was observed in the Real Estate Management sector and 0.8% in the Mining and Quarrying sector. In all other sectors, there was an increase, with Information and Communication showing the largest increase (8.1%).

The average gross monthly earnings for Cypriots were €2,506 and for non-Cypriots €2,434. The median earnings were €2,053 and €1,544 respectively.
