Salary Increases in 2026 Due to Tax Reduction: Examples

Salary increases ranging from 40 to 50 euros net per month for young people up to 25 years old, and from 30 to 120 euros for employees with 3 or more children, will be seen by hundreds of thousands of households from 2026, due to the reduction of tax rates.
Over 4 million taxpayers will benefit from the reduction of tax rates by 2 percentage points for incomes from 10,000 to 40,000 euros, starting January 1, 2026. The reduction reaches up to 22 points for young people or parents with children.
For example, a 24-year-old with an annual income of 15,000 euros, who currently pays 1,283 euros in tax, will pay nothing from 2026, saving 167 euros per month.
A 25-year-old public servant without children and an annual income of 15,000 euros saw a salary increase of 107 euros per month. A 30-year-old public servant without children and an annual income of 15,000 euros receives a salary increase of 54 euros per month.
A couple with an income of 25,000 euros each, without children, benefits 600 euros per year, with one child 1,200 euros, with two children 1,800 euros, with three children 3,400 euros, and with four children it reaches 6,360 euros per year.
Approximately 260,000 young people up to 30 years old will be completely exempt or will pay minimal tax under the new regime.
