The decision by Brain Rocket to move a significant portion of its operations from Cyprus to Spain is causing concern at the OEB (Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation).

According to journalistic reports, the decision affects hundreds of employees, both Cypriot and foreign. Of the approximately 1500 employees, only a few hundred are expected to remain in Cyprus.

Speaking on 'Πρωινό Δρομολόγιο' (Morning Itinerary), the General Director of the OEB, Michalis Antoniou, emphasized the need to examine how the Cypriot system responds to businesses after their establishment, considering its processes and speeds.

Mr. Antoniou also highlighted the need to simplify the institutional and legislative framework for companies in Cyprus, particularly by ending bureaucratic procedures that lead companies to withdraw from European countries, within the framework of the Cypriot presidency of the European Union.

Furthermore, he noted that Cyprus is in an excellent economic situation, with zero inflation, very low youth unemployment and very good growth rates.
