Easter Bonus 2026: Payment Deadline Approaching

Today, Great Wednesday, April 8th, is the deadline for employers to pay the Easter Bonus 2026 to their employees.

All salaried employees in the private sector are entitled to the bonus, regardless of their employment status (full-time, part-time, fixed-term, or indefinite-term). For those paid a monthly salary, the bonus is equivalent to half a month's salary, while for those paid daily, it is equivalent to 15 days' wages. The amount depends on the duration of the employment relationship.

Payment must be made exclusively through bank accounts, with reference to the reason and the period covered. In case of late payment, employees can appeal to the Labor Inspectorate.
