DYPA: Expansion of Program for Unemployed 55+ – 2,500 New Positions

The program of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) for the employment of unemployed individuals aged 55 and over is being expanded, with 2,500 additional subsidized job positions.
The aim of the program is to create a total of 35,000 new full-time job positions for unemployed individuals aged 55 to 74.
Applications for the 2,500 additional positions can only be submitted by Municipalities and Regions that had not applied for the expansion of the 6,000 positions, according to Ministerial Decision 4461/18-02-2025.
The duration of the program is 12 months, with the possibility of extension for another 12. The monthly subsidy amounts to 75% of the salary and insurance contributions, up to 750 euros.
Following the coverage of the initial 32,500 positions, the program is being expanded to 35,000 positions nationwide. The budget for the new positions is 45 million euros, with total expenses exceeding 800 million euros.
