CySEC: Changes to CIF Fees and PRIIP Products
Share on:

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) is proposing changes to the fees for Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs) and packaged retail investment products (PRIIPs).

According to a CySEC announcement, two consultation papers were published on January 12, 2026. The first concerns Law 87(I)/2017 on Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets, and the second concerns Regulation (EU) 1286/2014 on PRIIPs.

Changes are proposed to the methodology for calculating annual fees for CIFs, Market Operators, and investment firm branches. New annual fees are also being introduced for PRIIPs manufacturers and those providing investment advice or selling PRIIPs.

The aim is to align fees, reduce dependence on public resources, and strengthen CySEC's financial autonomy.
