Mergers and Acquisitions in the Greek Food & Beverage Sector

2025 is expected to be a year of intense business activity in the Greek food and beverage sector, with many deals shaping the landscape. The sector's turnover reaches €20 billion, representing 27.7% of manufacturing and being the largest employer with 376,000 direct and indirect jobs, according to the president of the Hellenic Food Industry Association, Ioannis Giotis.

- Ellinika Galaktokomeia Group acquired Dodoni dairy industry.
- IDEAL Holdings acquired Barba Stathis and 90% of Halvatzis Makedoniki.
- Alfa Ath. Koukoutaris SA acquired a majority stake in the Canadian Trio Bakery Inc.
- Ambrosia AE (Bespoke-SGA Holdings AE) acquired 70% of 3P SALADS AE.
- Kyr-Gianni acquired Ktima Sigala.
- Premia Properties acquired Ktima Semeli.
- Ellinika Galaktokomeia AE acquired Kampos Chiou Juice and Soft Drinks Industry SA.
- ION bought 100% of the shares of INTERION AD in Bulgaria.
- MINERVA Olive Oil Enterprises and Food SA acquired the Altis and Elanthi trademarks.
- EOS Capital Partners acquired a minority stake in Megas Yeeros.
Additionally, Switz Group acquired "The Bakers in the Hood" stores, while the sale of Avramar is in progress.
