Energy Fiasco in Vasiliko: Investigation into Responsibilities

The government is investigating potential responsibilities, including criminal ones, for the project in Vasiliko, according to statements by the Minister of Energy, Giorgos Papanastasiou. The project is described as incomplete and stagnant, with the government trying to limit the damage.

Prometheus, the ship for the floating regasification unit, remains in Malaysia for changes and is expected to be ready in October.

Energy cuts due to lost storage marked the summer. Data show that more expensive polluting electricity generation was purchased due to the loss of energy from Renewable Energy Sources. Indicatively, on August 16-17, 1900 Megawatts were cut off.
