ENFIA 2026: What to Check in Your Property Tax Assessment
Share on:

ENFIA 2026 property tax assessments are expected before mid-March, with reductions for at least 2 in 7 property owners. The assessment processes concern 7.3 million properties and a total bill of €2.3 billion.

Reductions and Exemptions:

  • Small Settlements: 50% reduction for main residences in settlements with up to 1,500 residents (or 1,700 in Evros, Western Macedonia, and border areas). Full abolition from 2027 for settlements up to 1,500 residents.
  • Insured Properties: 20% discount for homes with a taxable value of up to €500,000, insured against earthquake, fire, and flood.
  • Low Incomes: 50% reduction for those meeting income and property criteria. Full exemption for families with three or more children, people with disabilities (over 80%) meeting specific criteria.

What to check in your assessment:

  1. The calculation data (property value, discounts).
  2. The accuracy of the declared data (floor, square footage, year of construction).
  3. The existence of any message about "insufficient data."

Corrections: In case of miscalculation, an amended E9 declaration will be required after the posting of the assessments.
