Tension arose outside the Agrotica exhibition in Thessaloniki as farmers gathered to protest issues in the primary sector. Riot police prevented them from entering the exhibition.

Responding to a call from the Panhellenic Committee of Blokes, farmers gathered with tractors in the square of HANTH, next to the Thessaloniki International Fair, where the Minister of Rural Development, Kostas Tsiaras, was inaugurating the exhibition. They demand coverage of production costs and affordable food prices.

The 31st Agrotica, which lasts until March 15, includes exhibitors with agricultural machinery and the 11th Panhellenic conference on innovation in agriculture.
