Indefinite Strike by Transporters A' in Cyprus

Transporters A' in Cyprus have initiated an indefinite strike today. According to ΠΟΒΕΚ, the demands of the sector have not been met, as consultations with the government and Eurogate, the operating company of the container terminal at the Limassol port, have been unsuccessful.
The secretary of ΠΟΒΕΚ, Kyriakos Moustakas, stated on the RIK show "First Information" that Transporters A' will continue their mobilizations until solutions are provided to their problems. He warned of an escalation of measures from Tuesday, with the possible participation of general cargo transporters.
Mr. Moustakas emphasized that the strike affects all trade, including imports and exports. Approximately 400 owners with 2000 heavy vehicles are participating in the mobilizations.
