Papanastasiou's contacts for NG and regional cooperation at Gastech 2025

The Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Giorgos Papanastasiou, highlighted Cyprus' increasing role in the energy map of the Eastern Mediterranean, during the Gastech 2025 conference in Milan.

According to posts by the Minister on the platform «Χ», consultations were held with Chevron, Shell and ExxonMobil regarding the progress of major energy projects. In addition, interventions were made to strengthen Cyprus-Egypt cooperation in the field of natural gas.

In meetings with executives from Chevron and Shell, the progress of the "Aphrodite" field was examined, with emphasis on the pre-FEED stage and the progress towards the FEED stage, based on the agreed Development Plan.
