EIB Invests Over €5.7 Billion in Cyprus, Says Minister

The Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos, stated that the European Investment Bank (EIB) has invested over €5.7 billion in Cyprus. This makes Cyprus the largest per capita beneficiary of EIB support among EU member states.
Mr. Keravnos made these statements at a dinner in Limassol, addressing the Members of the Boards of Directors of the EIB and the European Investment Fund (EIF).
The Minister emphasized Cyprus' long-standing cooperation with the EIB and EIF, highlighting their role in transforming European priorities into tangible investments. He also referred to Cyprus' Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2026.
Furthermore, Mr. Keravnos mentioned the resilience of the Cypriot economy, with high growth rates and a reduction in public debt.
Finally, he thanked Kyriakos Kakouris for his contribution as Vice President of the EIB.
