The Labor Inspection has announced an increase in complaints of mobbing (psychological harassment) in workplaces in 2024. According to the annual report, complaints more than doubled compared to 2022, reaching 318.

Mobbing accounts for 78% of harassment complaints. There is a decrease in vertical mobbing (from employer) and an increase in horizontal mobbing (between colleagues). Of the employees reported, 33% hold positions of responsibility.

As of October 2025, 1,806 inspections have been carried out and 374 complaints have been submitted. The Labor Inspection is strengthening information campaigns and cooperation with organizations such as the ΕΒΕΑ and the Ombudsman.

The head of the department, Georgia Vazaki, stressed the importance of information and out-of-court dispute resolution. Companies with more than 70 employees must have operating regulations with policies against violence and harassment.
