"MIDAS" Era for Real Estate: New Registry from AADE

A new digital era begins for property owners in Greece with the activation of the Real Estate Ownership and Management Registry (MIDAS) by AADE.
The MIDAS platform will collect data for each property, such as ownership, use, square footage, rents, electricity and water supplies, urban planning data, and legal disputes.
The tax administration will create a digital file for each property, linking E9 declarations, Land Registry data, information from DEH and DEDDIE, leases, and other data.
The first phase includes cross-checks between the ATAK (Real Estate ID Number) and the KAEK (National Land Registry Code). Owners will be notified of any discrepancies and asked to update the data.
Subsequently, all owners will have to declare the use of each property (rented, freely assigned, vacant, or owner-occupied) and the electricity and water supply numbers.
AADE will use MIDAS for audits, pre-filled declarations, and monitoring of the real estate market.
