Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol has called for dialogue with the Pancyprian Transport Union A’ to end the ongoing strike. In a letter, the company addresses nine points of demands and warns of risks to Cyprus' economic and supply chain. Eurogate's director, Alexandros Dimitriades, emphasizes that the company has already made improvements, such as granting an additional day of free container storage, despite limited space at the Limassol port.

The company also addresses the issue of 'Release' for container clearance, stressing that it is a global practice and cannot be abolished. Furthermore, it clarifies that temporary storage of hazardous cargo is not possible due to legal restrictions. Eurogate reports improvements in service times and proposals for innovative solutions.

The Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB) expressed concern about the impact of the strike on the smooth functioning of the market, warning of problems in product distribution, exports, and supply chains. It calls on carriers to end the strike and allow dialogue to resolve the issues.
