Paphos Chamber: Growth Doesn't Reach Lower Incomes

The President of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBE), Giorgos Mais, stated that growth does not directly benefit lower income groups due to structural problems of the state.
Mr. Mais mentioned that tourism and services in Paphos recorded excellent performance, with an increase in tourist arrivals and income for tourism businesses.
Despite the growth, the housing market remains unaffordable for many. Mr. Mais emphasized the need for measures for affordable housing and flexible housing plans from banks.
He also noted significant investments in technology, energy and transport, but expressed concern about geopolitical developments and government spending.
