European Car Sales: 2.4% Increase in 2025, Boosted by EVs

Car sales in Europe increased for the third consecutive year in 2025, with new vehicle registrations rising by 2.4% to 13.3 million vehicles. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, this increase is due to the growing demand for electric and hybrid vehicles.
Despite the increase, total sales remain approximately 15% lower than pre-pandemic levels. The increase in 2025 is attributed to the appearance of more affordable electric models on the market, with prices close to 20,000 euros.
Car sales in Europe may increase again in 2026, thanks to new subsidies and the arrival of next-generation models.
