Fuel Pass 2026: Fuel subsidy – Criteria and beneficiaries

Fuel Pass 2026 is activated for approximately three million drivers, providing a fuel subsidy based on income criteria. The subsidy will be provided via a digital card or deposit into a bank account.

The measure, part of the support measures due to the crisis in the Middle East, aims to address the increases in fuel prices. Payments are expected to begin before mid-April, after the platform opens at gov.gr.

Income and geographical criteria:

• 50 euros for residents of mainland Greece.
• 60 euros for residents of island regions.

The measure lasts until May 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension. The total budget amounts to 200 million euros. The average subsidy is estimated at 36 cents per liter.

Beneficiaries can apply through the vouchers.gov.gr platform, using their Taxisnet codes. They will need to confirm their contact information and their bank account IBAN.

Payment methods:

• Digital card: Higher subsidy amount, use at gas stations, transport and taxis.
• Deposit to IBAN: Lower amount, without restrictions on use.

The difference between the two options is 10 euros.
