Electricity: Orange and Red Tariffs Coming – What's Changing

New changes are coming to the electricity market with the introduction of "orange" and "red" tariffs, while the abolition of "green" tariffs is being considered. RAAEY is focusing on the additional services offered by suppliers, aiming to avoid long-term commitment of consumers.
RAAEY's consultation, headed by Mr. D. Fourlaris, examines the provision of additional services beyond the supply of electricity, emphasizing that these constitute a business decision of the supplier.
The new "red" tariffs will be flexible and will include tiered pricing per consumption level or a fixed price per semester. At the same time, the extension of the mandatory provision of "green" tariffs, in which more than 3 million consumers remain, although they are more expensive, remains questionable.
