Despite rising cocoa prices, chocolate remains popular in Cyprus. Aigli Stamatiou from Yolanda's Chocolatiers reports that Cypriots consume approximately 4 kg of chocolate per person annually.

The increase in cocoa prices has affected the local market, leading to price increases. Cypriot chocolate production mainly uses couverture from European companies.

Cypriots prefer bon bons and chocolates with various fillings, as well as combinations of milk and dark chocolate. Consumption increases in winter, but there is a steady increase even in the summer months. There is also interest in sugar-free products, but this is not yet a dominant trend.
