Consumer Spending: How Much Do Cypriots and Europeans Spend?

Eurostat published a study on consumer spending in European households, using per capita actual consumption based on Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) as an indicator.
Luxembourg recorded the highest level of spending per capita (28,731 PPP). It is followed by Ireland (23,534 PPP), Belgium (23,437 PPP), Germany (23,333 PPP), and Austria (23,094 PPP).
Cyprus recorded 21,879 PPP. Greece is at 18,752 PPP.
The lowest spending was recorded in Hungary (14,621 PPP) and Bulgaria (15,025 PPP).
The fastest growth in consumer spending between 2019 and 2024 was observed in Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania, while the Czech Republic recorded the largest decrease.
