KEDIPES: €60 Million Payment to State for Q2 2025

KEDIPES made a new payment of €60 million to the state on June 26, 2025, as part of the repayment of state aid provided to the former Cooperative Cyprus Bank.

With the new payment, KEDIPES's total repayment since 2018 amounts to €1.594 billion. Of these, €1.570 billion has been paid in cash, while an additional €13.5 million was spent on the 'Rent vs Mortgage' Scheme, which has included 116 residences to date. In addition, €10.5 million was allocated for other obligations, such as installments of the 'Estia' Scheme.

KEDIPES maintains a cash reserve of €100 million for the continuation of the 'Rent vs Mortgage' Scheme, which aims to support vulnerable borrowers by acquiring their homes by the state, with a rental relationship instead of loan repayment.
