Croatia Imposes Fuel Price Cap – €1.50 Limit on Gasoline

Croatia is imposing a cap on fuel prices, setting a maximum limit of €1.50 per liter for gasoline. The upper limit for diesel fuel has been set at €1.55.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković announced the imposition of a price cap on gasoline and diesel, as the war in the Middle East increases pressure on global oil supplies.

The Croatian government will set the price cap starting Tuesday, making Croatia one of the first countries in the European Union to try to curb rising fuel prices.

Oil prices have exceeded $100 a barrel for the first time since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, due to concerns about global crude oil supplies.
