Cyprus: Summer Sales Begin in Stores

Summer sales have cautiously begun in Cyprus stores. The Secretary of the Pancyprian Retail Trade Association, Marios Antoniou, speaking to ThemaOnline, stated that sales usually end in the third week of August.
Discounts range from 15% to 35%. Mr. Antoniou noted that there was no impact on retail trade from the recent Israel-Iran hostilities, and there was a positive effect from the increase in tourism.
He expressed concern about rising fuel prices, as they affect prices and create uncertainty. He stressed the importance of avoiding unfair commercial practices.
