Cyprus holds the top position in the number of flights departing from Israeli airports, according to data from the Israel Airports Authority (IAA). It also shares fourth place with Italy in terms of passenger numbers.

Greece remains in first place for passenger traffic with 2.2 million passengers, followed by the USA (1.6 million), the United Arab Emirates (1.5 million), Italy and Cyprus (1.2 million).

Cyprus handles up to 186 flights per week from Israeli airports (Tel Aviv and Haifa).

Israel is the second-largest tourist market for Cyprus after the United Kingdom and ranks first in daily per capita spending by visitors. Israeli visitors prefer short trips, which helps maintain tourist flow even outside the summer season.

Israeli media estimate that the number of passengers from Israel will increase significantly by 2026, potentially exceeding pre-war records, reaching 22 million.

Cyprus recorded a 42.6% increase in arrivals from Israel and could benefit further from this trend, depending on the regional situation and flight availability.
