Cypriot Individuals Removed from US Sanctions List

Five individuals and three legal entities associated with Cyprus were removed from the updated list of designations of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on Monday. These individuals and entities had been listed by OFAC due to their connection with sanctions imposed on Russia.
Specifically, five individuals and three legal entities linked to one of the individuals were removed from the OFAC list. Two of the three legal entities have addresses in Cyprus.
All individuals and entities removed from the OFAC list were designated as posing a “risk of secondary sanctions” and were linked to Executive Order 14024 concerning Russia.
