KYR-GIANNI Acquires Sigalas Estate in Santorini

KYR-GIANNI has announced the acquisition of Sigalas Estate in Santorini, obtaining the majority stake from a company owned by Thanasis Martinou. This move marks a new era for the Santorini winery, which is now wholly owned by the KYR-GIANNI family.
With the acquisition, KYR-GIANNI strengthens its presence on the Greek and international wine map, creating a competitive entity that unites three significant wine-growing regions: Naoussa and Amyntaio with the Kyr-Gianni Estate, and Santorini with the Sigalas Estate.
Stelios Boutaris, Winemaker and CEO of KYR-GIANNI, stated that the acquisition is a vote of confidence in Santorini, emphasizing the company's commitment to sustainable development and respect for the island's tradition.
KYR-GIANNI's business activity is expected to exceed 20 million euros, with a presence in 55 countries and exports reaching 7 million euros. The company emphasizes wine tourism, with more than 35,000 visitors having visited its destinations in Naoussa, Amyntaio and Santorini.
