Unemployment in Cyprus Decreases by 6.6% in July 2025

The number of registered unemployed persons in Cyprus decreased by 6.6% annually in July 2025, according to data from the Statistical Service. Specifically, the number of registered unemployed at the end of July amounted to 11,088 people, a decrease of 789 people compared to July 2024.
However, seasonally adjusted data showed a slight increase, with the number of unemployed reaching 10,081 people in July, compared to 9,947 in June, recording an increase of 134 people.
The decrease is mainly attributed to declines in the sectors of Education, Construction, Financial and insurance activities, and Manufacturing. A decrease was also recorded in new entrants to the labor market.
