Cyprus Banks Reduce Loan Interest Rates

Systemic banks in Cyprus reduced their lending rates in April. According to data from the Central Bank, a downward trend was also observed in deposit rates.

Specifically, the average interest rate on housing loans with variable rates decreased to 3.71% in April 2025, from 4.23% in March. Bank of Cyprus has the highest rate (5.15%), while Alpha Bank has the lowest (2.41%).

For deposits, the average interest rate for households decreased to 1.26%. Eurobank offers the highest deposit rate (1.65%).
