Decrease in Deposits, Increase in Loans in Cyprus in January

According to data from the Central Bank of Cyprus, total deposits recorded a net decrease of €851.2 million in January 2026. At the same time, total loans showed an increase of €76.4 million.

Deposits of Cyprus residents decreased by €767.7 million, with household deposits increasing by €34.2 million and non-financial corporations' deposits decreasing by €469.7 million.

Loans to Cyprus residents increased by €124.2 million, with loans to non-financial corporations increasing by €22.6 million and loans to households remaining unchanged.
