OEB and KEBE condemn the general strike over ATA

Employers' organizations OEB and KEBE have strongly condemned the trade union movement's decision to proceed with a general strike with a three-hour work stoppage on September 11, regarding the issue of ATA (Automatic Cost of Living Adjustment).

Both organizations, through their announcements, are calling for the continuation of social dialogue to find a solution. The OEB characterizes the strike measures as irregular, while KEBE emphasizes that such actions are dangerous for the Cypriot economy.

Both organizations call on the trade union organizations to re-evaluate their decisions and return to the negotiating table, with a view to the collective interest and the long-term development prospects of Cyprus.
