Panayiotou: Employers Meet Minister on Cost of Living Allowance

Employer associations OEB and KEBE are expected to meet this afternoon with the Minister of Labor, Yannis Panayiotou, regarding the issue of the Cost of Living Allowance (ATA).

The meeting follows a joint statement by the associations, who expressed their opposition to automated increases in operating costs. A new meeting with social partners will take place tomorrow.

Reportedly, the government is considering imposing an income ceiling on the application of the Cost of Living Allowance, an idea that has been discussed with the unions by the President of the Republic.
