Papanastasiou: Practical Support for Agios Athanasios Industrial Area

The Ministry of Energy actively supports the Agios Athanasios industrial area, according to Minister Giorgos Papanastasiou.

The Minister emphasized that efforts are being made to solve the problems in the Agios Athanasios industrial area, aiming for the development and operation of industries.

Addressing the Annual General Meeting of the Agios Athanasios Industrialists Association (SYBIAA), Mr. Papanastasiou reminded that the area was founded in 1978 and has 116 leased plots and 140 businesses.

Since its establishment, over €4 million has been spent on infrastructure maintenance. The Ministry has also allocated €315,000 for asphalt paving and is promoting the creation of a second entrance-exit, expected to be completed by 2026.

Mr. Papanastasiou called on industrialists to fulfill their obligations and assured the Ministry's support through European funds to enhance competitiveness, reduce production costs, and promote green models.
