Inflation: Slight Decrease in Cyprus, Increase in the EU

Cyprus recorded a marginal decrease in inflation in August, according to preliminary data from Eurostat, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) falling by 0.1% on an annual basis.
In Greece, inflation is estimated at 3.1%, down from 3.7% in July, remaining higher than the Eurozone average. On a monthly basis, prices fell by 0.6%.
In the Eurozone, inflation rose marginally to 2.1% from 2% in July. Core inflation (excluding energy and food) remained at 2.3%.
Estonia recorded the highest inflation at 6.2%, while Cyprus stood out with a slight decrease (-0.1%).
