Tax Returns: How many have filed so far?

As of August 29th, 162 thousand taxpayers, or 51% compared to last year, had definitively submitted their Individual Income Tax Return without accounts for the 2024 tax year, according to Tax Commissioner Sotiris Markidis.

In total, approximately 182 thousand returns (56% compared to last year) have been processed, with the remaining 20 thousand being in 'Temporary Receipt'. In 2023, 317,400 returns were definitively submitted by the deadline.

The submission deadline has been extended until September 30, 2025, according to a Ministerial Council Decree (ΚΔΠ 176/2025). Employees, pensioners, and self-employed individuals with a gross total income exceeding €19,500 for 2024 are required to submit. Submission is done through the TaxisNet system.
