Romanian billionaires Dragoş and Adrian Pavăl, owners of Dedeman, acquired Praktiker Hellas on July 16, 2025. Praktiker's 2024 financial results show a turnover of €186.2 million, down 0.7% compared to 2023.

EBITDA improved by 24.2% to €2.79 million, but the company reported losses of €1.76 million. Financial costs increased due to investments in store renovations and digital transformation.

Equity decreased to €2.99 million, while liabilities amounted to €70.8 million. Praktiker has 17 stores in Greece with 1,200 employees. In 2024, seven stores were renovated, and a preliminary agreement was signed with Eurobank to purchase eight owned stores.

Management, under CEO Χρήστος Λαμπρόπουλος, focuses on strengthening physical stores and e-commerce, expanding products and services, and establishing the Praktiker brand. The Pavăl Group plans to expand in Attica and Thessaloniki.

Dedeman, started in 1992 and now has 64 stores and a turnover of €2.6 billion.
